The walk from Bondi beach to Bronte beach should most definitely be on everyone's bucket list! It's a lovely walk with some of the prettiest views I've ever seen! I loved the salt in the air and the casual atmosphere! People were walking their dogs, picnicking in the park, jogging, or just sitting and admiring the view. It was so very pretty!
Sydney ... what an incredible city! I don't have a bad thing to say about it! It was clean, easy to get around, delicious food, laid back lifestyle, and beautiful architecture. Many times I ordered lunch to go and would sit in a park or on a bench and just stare at the beauty surrounding me. I never felt alone, even though I was traveling by myself. People were simply friendly as could be, and it wasn't difficult to see why people love the city so much!
Surfers Paradise is south of Brisbane about one hour, if I remember correctly. The name really does live up to its reputation of being a paradise! I couldn't believe how beautiful the beaches were! I didn't surf while I was there, which disappointed my husband who grew up surfing in Ventura County, but I took plenty of pictures to make up for it! Here is a sampling of some of my favorites.
I realize these particular animals can't be called "wild" because these were all in sanctuaries, but still, it was a great sampling of Australian wildlife for an American!
One of my goals is to see as many LDS Temples as I can! Wherever I go, if there happens to be a Temple within driving distance, I'll go see it! Luckily the Brisbane LDS Temple is right along the waterfront where my sister and I would walk, so it wasn't out of the way one bit!
