This past September I traveled halfway across the world to visit my sister, Sarah, who lives in Brisbane, Australia! I went by myself when I was 11-weeks pregnant. Crazy much?! Haha, it was the perfect time to go, actually. My husband was busy in school and I needed a break after the hectic summer that included getting pregnant via IVF, shooting 15 weddings, and moving to Las Vegas!

Brisbane is a wonderful city that's easy to navigate and fun to walk around. And the food?!? To die for gourmet. I indulged in every single local cuisine I could get my hands on! I loved being able to see how my sister lives in another country! For instance, she used to get to work via boat! That's right, it's called the CityCat (short for Catamaran) and then would walk in to work from her stop. Charming, to say the least!

I couldn't have had more fun photographing this couple at their wedding! The whole day was laughter and smiles and friendship! Everyone was happy this couple sealed the deal ... it was so obvious it was silly!

A couple cute notes about this wedding ... the bride picked all the flowers for her wedding from her own backyard! The cake is also an interesting story. As you'll see in the photos it's not a cake, but rather sweet rolls made into a cake! Well, it's a tribute to how they met, which was when she was working at the fair at a sweet roll stand. It was truly really adorable and I loved the personal touch.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Blickenstaff! Much love from me to you both!

This little boy is about to celebrate his second birthday! For his birthday his mother gifted him a little photo shoot to remember him at this age. And what a sweet gift that is! Maybe he didn't appreciate it at the moment, but hopefully he will later in life, eh? At least that's what I keep telling myself...

But truly look at this boy and tell me he isn't a heartbreaker. His blue eyes, his suave hair, his effortless style ... I fell in love the second I saw him because he's just too adorable!

This New Year started off with the birth of my newest niece on January 2nd. I was lucky enough to be invited to the birth to photograph my sister deliver her baby girl into this world. I've seen many births over the years but seeing my sister deliver was easily one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I've never been so proud! Or excited! And here is darling Emma, two days after birth when she had arrived home from the hospital. I couldn't love this little lady more!
