My nephew, James, is by far the cutest little man I know. He's also quite meticulous. If you look closely at these photos you'll see that he carries his little cars around in a green bag, then takes each car out one-by-one to place them in a line. It doesn't matter if that line is vertical or horizontal ... it just needs to be a line. As he's placing the cars in a line he names them. Once they're all lined up he does a final count and laughs like a maniac at his masterpiece, then starts all over again. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen.
